Crumbling

I started this year optimistic for the first time in my school career, there was a girl i was head over heels for and a group of guys that i was ready to hangout with everyday for the entire year. Things got even better when i made that girl my girlfriend and made those guys the WolfPack, things were finally looking up. Slowly but surely throughout the year everything has deteriorated to the hell I’m finding myself in now. I spent all the free time i had with my girlfriend, i still got to see the Pack after school because she did sports but the time was greatly reduced. i was always sad that i couldn’t spend the time i wanted with both groups but accepted the fact that i wanted to be as close as possible to my girl. Day by day i would see more and more tweets from my friends having fun and would have to send more and more texts declining the invitations. I still was okay with my decisions. Technically speaking I’m the leader of the WolfPack, and i would like to take this time to formally apologize to every member for my lack of attendance and failure to be the older brother figure i set out to be. I started the WolfPack because i wanted to make sure that the genuinely nice guys i hang out with get the experiences i think high school kids should have without having to do it with sketchy people that want possessions more than friendship. I wanted more than anything a reason to spend time with you guys more than anyone else and that goal hasn’t been achieved. So now after hearing the worst news a man can from his girlfriend, I am left with friends that are closer to each other than me, and still no time to fix it. Basically if you wanted to picture my life do it with a sandcastle. I spent countless hours building the biggest and best sandcastle i could, that sandcastle was the only thing i cared about. So i spent hours trying to build a wall to protect the sandcastle, after days of work i finally stood tall at the top tower to look at what i could now enjoy. As soon as i looked down i saw nothing but the tide coming in and that wall crumbling. Crumbing faster than i could rebuild it, so i watched the castle fall and now im sitting in a pile of wet sand that i get to call my life.
